# CRS Pulse — Express Entry CRS Calculator & IRCC Draw Tracker

> Calculate your Canada Express Entry CRS score, track live IRCC draws, and get push alerts for new rounds. Free, private, and on-device.

CRS Pulse is a free iPhone app and browser toolkit for people in (or heading for) the
Canadian Express Entry pool. It scores a profile against the official IRCC and provincial
point grids, tracks every round of invitations, and follows a PR application from profile
to landing. Everything you enter stays on the device, and there is no account to create.
The app carries Google AdMob banner ads; nothing else tracks you.

## FAQ

### What is a CRS score?

The Comprehensive Ranking System score is the number IRCC uses to rank candidates in the Express Entry pool, out of 1,200. Every round of invitations has a cutoff; candidates at or above it are invited to apply for permanent residence.

### How is my CRS score calculated?

From core human capital (age, education, official-language ability and Canadian work experience), spouse factors, skill transferability, and additional points such as a provincial nomination (+600), Canadian study, French ability or a sibling in Canada. CRS Pulse implements that published grid, along with the FSW 67-point, BC PNP SIRS and Saskatchewan SINP grids. IRCC’s own tool is authoritative, so confirm your final score there before you act on it.

### Does CRS Pulse use official IRCC draw data?

Yes. The app reads rounds of invitations from IRCC’s public JSON feed, and each draw links to its official IRCC round page. This website mirrors the same feed and refreshes when the site is rebuilt; the app is always live.

### Can I track my Express Entry application?

Yes, in the iPhone app. Log milestones such as ITA, AOR, biometrics, medical and passport request on a timeline, work through the document checklist for your program, and see an estimated decision window based on IRCC’s published processing times. The tracker is in the app, not on this website.

### Is CRS Pulse free?

Yes. Every calculator, live draws, draw history, analytics and the application tracker are free, with no account. The app is supported by small banner ads — there are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.

### What happens to my personal data?

Your age, education, language scores and work history are stored only on your device. There is no account to create and no analytics tracker. If you enable draw alerts, only an anonymous push token is stored on the notification service — never your immigration data. The app does show Google AdMob banner ads, which use a device advertising identifier; on iPhone it asks permission first, and declining still leaves the app fully usable.

### How do draw alerts work?

A background service checks for new rounds every 15 minutes. When IRCC publishes a draw, you get a push notification — usually within about 15 minutes — with the category, cutoff score and number of invitations. You can turn alerts on or off any time.

### What is a category-based draw?

Instead of inviting the highest overall CRS scores, IRCC can invite candidates who meet a specific priority — such as French-language ability or work in healthcare, trades or STEM. These rounds often cut off well below a general round, so targeting a category can matter more than raising a raw score.

### Do I need a job offer for Express Entry?

No. A valid job offer is not required for any of the three Express Entry programs. Since March 25, 2025, job offers no longer add CRS points, though they can still support certain category-based draws. Most invited candidates have no Canadian job offer.
